Abakainon, an ancient city located in the current territory of Tripi, was brought to light by archaeological excavations that revealed important architecture, monuments and finds.

Thanks to the commitment of the Municipality of Tripi, it is now an Archaeological Park that can be visited and is open to the curious and enthusiasts; which together with the Santi Furnari Museum, represents a site of immense historical and cultural value.
